That's the British way. Just look at the powers the queen technically has but doesn't actually use.

Is that why the Iranians hate him?  And the Russians?  And the Hungarians?  Because of his donation to the Democrats?

Iranians, etc. can hate him for whatever reasons.  The most common reason he's hated by right-leaning Americans is that he's a big-time donor to the Democrats and left-wing causes.  He's basically the Koch Brothers of the Left. 

Now if you're talking about the alt-right, go ahead and have at it with the anti-Semitism claims.

Maybe the Iranians hate him because he donates to the Democrats as well.  Or maybe they are worried, like Alex Jones is, that George Soros is causing blacks to kneel during the national anthem to start a race war.  Or maybe the Iranians are upset that George Soros somehow got Bill O'Reilly fired, as O'Reilly himself believes.

Speaking of Bill O'Reilly, I found this interesting statement by the man on George Soros.

Soros has now taken his ill-gotten gains and is financing the most radical left-wing organizations in America. He is the shadow puppet master behind corrupt far-left groups like Media Matters. Soros has his tentacles into political organizations like the Center for American Progress, which has provided operatives for the Obama administration, some of whom are now going over to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Few Americans even know who Soros is, but the 84-year old uber-leftist is behind much of the political strife in this country.
