I was kind of disappointed I missed out on the eclipse.  I mean I was out camping so despite the warnings I looked up at the sun (and it did looks like it was partially eclipsed for the split second I could look) but that was a long way from totality.

Looking online though... if I could make it to New Brunswick / Newfoundland there should be a total eclipse in 2024.  Or... in 2044 there will be a total eclipse that covers Edmonton.  I mean... I'll only be 69 - I can wait that long, right?

Omitting poor Saarland the other three are Germany's top states by GDP ( with Rhineland in 6th). Go catholics!

The highest GDP/capita is in the protestant states of Hamburg, Bremen and Hesse though.

For good reason, since it is associated with calvinism, almost nonexistent in Germany nowadays.

Meh, people are way over-reacting to this.  I think ESPN is doing the guy a favor.  They should have replaced him with a Tom Jefferson, though, given that the game is between Thomas Jefferson's alma mater and the school he founded.
