Tyr is about a 6/10 from what I've seen. Though Britain tends to score on a curve, right?
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Brits tend to be one way or the other; not a lot of middlers.

Hot as hell, or very very meh.

I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

Sorry, but that's just silly.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

Hundreds of artists have collaborated to redraw the thousands of pages of the Akira manga with Simpsons characters. Due to the amount of artists the style can change jarringly from one page to the next, but it's still an impressive feat:

So now I have two cats that have a terminal illness.  One is suffering from Kidney Failure the other is has Cancer of the Mouth.  Seems like everything around me is dying. :(
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I understand this incredibly well. It's why my therapist recommended that I get a puppy or kitten last year since my last cat died and my dog was at the end of his life, too. He wanted me to have something young and vibrant to take care of when Thor died. He was very wise.

I'm wishing you well, my friend. I know how much this all hurts.

That is what getting older does. You love them, you'll mourn them & you'll get new cats to love.

I'm a pragmatic asshole, Meri is a nice person but the message is the same. Get new young cats.

My elder cat (nearly 17) has kidney issues. Now the vet has us giving her subcutaneous infusions of Ringer's lactate solution twice a week.

Let me tell you, our cat does not appreciate being held still for several minutes and stuck with a big needle, while fluid drips into her hide.

Seems to work though.

Edit: it's amazing how the cats in the instruction videos just sit there and take it without a protest. Evidently, we lack the ability to train our cat to accept this ...

Our younger cat and our dog are both very well behaved for the vet, though neither have had to go through anything like that, and it is the pros doing the shots and such, not us.

Still need to get the older cat to the vet, though.  Don't know how that will go.

How old are your cats, Raz?
