I think my cat is depressed.  I have two cats, one of them has cancer of the mouth and is dying.  The growths in her mouth have spilled out into her face.  It's a little disturbing to look at.  She can't eat solid food anymore because she can't hold anything in her mouth.  I started buying a liquid type cat food that has the constancy of a stew.  She can eat that.  I doubt the cat will be alive for much longer.  The strange thing is that the other cat seems to understand what is going on.  She's become lethargic, lost weight, and has recently been pulling her hair out.  She did the same thing when my dad died.  I didn't think cats could become depressed and certainly didn't think that cats could make predictions and understand that another cat will die soon.  I thought only people had the forethought to contemplate death.

Given all the delays on the Basque high-speed train network, going by train from Paris to the Crossroads of the World i.e Zamora, on the way to Bragança of course, takes now only 12 hours!
Detour by Barcelona and Madrid included, but at 300 kph. 

Going through the Basque country takes 18 hours minimum but is cheaper.
Waiting for the new station in Puebla de Sanabria/Póvoa de Seabra (Otero/Outeiro), closer to Bragança, it is then.
Regular AVE fares (Spanish high-speed trains) manage to be more expensive in Spain than TGV in France. 
No wonder the trains are not full.

When my cocker spaniel got cancer, my other dog was an anxiety-riddled mess. I was actually afraid to take him out for a walk because I didn't know how he'd react to any person or animal he happened to see. Once Thor died, however, Kepler was an absolute angel again. He understood that Thor was gone, and he moved on with his silly happy life.

Here's hoping your other cat does the same.

I got invited to a job interview in the South.
It seemed annoying to get there and expensive on short notice but I bought the tickets anyway.
Today I get a mail to see its actually to be a phone interview.

I mean. Yeah. This is good. It was too be an annoying day of all day travel.
But I already bought those tickets. For nothing.

How can I raise the prospect of reimbursement for travel. I'm spending too much on interviews. If I didn't have savings I'd be fucked.

It is quite reasonable to ask for paid tickets when booking an interview. Depending on how attractive you are of course.
