Ecuador has suspended Julian Assange's means of communicating with the outside world, after he violated an agreement not to criticize foreign governments (he's been railing against the UK for blaming Russia for the recent poisonings, also a bit about Catalonia).

Alexo Athletica

QuoteAMY ROBBINS
While hosting NRATV's NOIR and Pursuit Channel's GUNTV, Amy Robbins, our CEO and Co-Founder, passion for firearms grew along with her desire to see women everywhere live a confident, self-reliant lifestyle. After obtaining a license to carry in order to be able to train for a marathon wherever she wanted without fearing for her safety (and look great while doing it), Amy created Alexo Athletica because no product existed on the market that would meet her need to feel fashionable while carrying in active wear. So, she jumped on the opportunity to not only provide fashionable, functional carry-wear but create a movement of empowered, independent women that could  CARRY WITH CONFIDENCE.

She may have a point.  I once heard a comedienne quip that she learned from murder shows if a white woman goes jogging by herself she's either going to find a dead body; or she's going to become a dead body.  What purpose the yoga pants with gun pockets on the site serve, on the other hand, is a mystery to me.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

What English do people learn in Russia?
It struck me one could draw a pretty neat border between commonwealth English and American English on the Eastern side of Bangladesh and India*. I wonder about the old ussr though.

*except for Malaysia, HK and Singapore of course.

I imagine Russians learn British English. To my knowledge most countries where English isn't a native language learn British English because of the Cambridge certificates.

Incidentally, I only have the most basic of them all.

You'd really not know.

Where as with me, you might well suspect.  :D

It was definitely British English when I was learning it in school.

Got my reduced sodium pickle spears. So good I jammed 3 down my throat. I had a deficiency of pickle juice in my blood.

Don't ask about my flirtation with vegan cheese.  :yucky:
