I seem to have come into possession of two pumpkins.
One a stereotypical orange type, the other...a different type. No clue of the difference.
Also; no clue what I do with these things.
I've never cooked pumpkin before. I've barely even eaten it.
Ideas?

I love pumpkin pie but have never made it from scratch by cleaning out a pumpkin. The few times I did I got the canned filling, but I bet baking it from scratch makes a better tasting pie.

It doesn't.  Jack-O-Lanterns make terrible pumpkin pies.  Commercial canned 'pumpkin' is actually Dickinson squash.  Much smaller than a 'traditional' pumpkin.
