QuoteAnt Simulator Canceled After Team Spends the Money on Booze and Strippers

The funds from crowdfunding campaigns are gone

The main developer of Ant Simulator, Eric Tereshinski, announced the cancellation of the game and his resignation after he found out that his business partners have spent the money on booze and strippers.

I dunno how funny I find it, but I guess that's because I can identify with Mr. Tereshinski. It would rather suck to have your business partners - especially if you considered them friends - to fuck over your project by wasting the money on bullshit, especially when your name is the one that's attached to the project in public.

Yeah, sucks for him. I still found it funny that they wasted it on something so stereotypically silly.

There is a reason they are the classics.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Anyone else remember standing in phone-booths/boxes conducting long distance romantic conversations?

Some people....they act all snobby and declare they never watch TV....
Yet they know all about Game of Thrones, Dexter, etc....

You can watch many of those shows outside traditional television, you know? Some people watch on streaming sides, download the stuff or buy DVDs. I rarely watch TV and by that I mean live TV programming, not stuff that at one time may or may not have been on TV.
Except for the first series of GoT I didn't watch them on live broadcast TV either. However they are still TV.

I reckon I'm about 5-10 years too young for that.

Movies are also on TV but I wouldn't say watching a movie is like watching TV. When people say they don't watch TV they clearly mean flow TV such as reality, news, programmed series or movies, quiz shows, etc.

No.  Phone booths didn't let you dial 1-900 numbers.

Speaking to an American guy at work. He travelled europe a decade ago. Had an interesting approach to it.
He got on a train and travelled until a ticket inspector asked to see his non existent ticket. He then let himself be kicked off at the next station. Gave fake details if threatened with a  fine. Rinse and repeat.

Very, very common.

I've done the fake address once, I did have a ticket but not the right kind.
Mine was, in fact, more expensive than it should have been and the guy still insisted on fining me on top of that. Germans :bleeding:

I'm surprised he could get away with it. If it's that easy....why does anyone pay fines ever?
