Mongers, I like the ballot form. Straightforward, anyone can understand. Most of the ballot initiatives I get are anything but that.

Not so much understanding that is usually a problem but loaded questions.

My recent favourite loaded poll question - from the governing party of the province - had the options "Yes" (green) and "Tell me more" (red).

It was advertisement rather than a referendum, but still pretty funny.

I don't get it.

People have a natural tendency to agree with positive statements and ideas planted in their head.
"Do you agree that X" will get more votes for X than a simple "X or Y?"
