The irony of course is that in trying to circumvent one form of discrimination he created another.

How so?

How odd. I didn't know America ever really made a big negative deal about Jews.

School quotas, country club memberships, and the occasional housing development covenant.  That's all I'm aware of.

It wasn't America as a whole, but upper-middle class America. Jews were an ethic minority pushing into the preserve of the upper middle classes (up 'till them mostly WASPS), and they didn't like it.

Hence, anti-Jew discrimination tended to take the form of exclusion (or restriction) at the best universities, refusal to allow them to join exclusive clubs and golf courses, and the like.

Naturally, Blacks and Latinos weren't welcome there either except as servants (or the Irish  :D). The difference was that few if any Blacks or Latinos were likely to even be in a position to care.

I've hit a bump. I broke the Saxony-Polish personal Union and now there's no ruler of Poland. I'm not sure why it hasn't reverted back to the Stanisław Leszczyński since he's the last King listed. :unsure:

Ulmont, I summon you!

That's kind of entertaining.  Without looking at it, I suspect that you might need to set both Saxony and Poland to the same monarch to get the correct effect.

To look at it, post a link to the save.

But I don't want them to have the same monarch. I want to put Stanisław back into power in Poland and leave Friedrich Augustus in charge of Saxony.

Easy.  Find Stanislaw in the POL section, search forward for the monarch lines, and edit the id to match Stanislaw:

    monarch={
        id=2744
        idtype=37
    }

Without that change, you still have Friedrich Augustus in charge of Poland, but without the matching personal union the game interprets the duplication as a mistake and goes noruler on you.

Cool, thanks. :)

Now how do I edit it so that the right countries are at war with each other?

Add an active_war section before the previous_war one:

active_war={
    name="Tim's War of Injustice"
    history={
        1728.8.14={
            add_attacker="BEI"
        }
        1728.8.14={
            add_defender="CHA"
        }
        1728.8.14={
            add_defender="AYU"
        }
        1728.8.14={
            add_defender="MAJ"
        }
    }
    attacker="BEI"
    defender="MNG"
    defender="MCH"
    defender="AYU"
    defender="CHA"
    action={
        year=1728
        month=8
        day=14
    }
}

Adjust the attackers, defenders, name, etc.

The computer doesn't realize Queen Sophia is a female, how do I rectify this?
