Lets assume me and my peers want to hang out for a weekend in Barcelona, late september to watch a football game there. Any cheap-and-reasonable hotel recommendations?

Interesting.  So the Earth isn't a perfect sphere but the top of the atmosphere is, making Cimborazo closest to "space"?

The earth is kinda squished at the top and the bottom.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Actually, the top of the physical top of the atmosphere is even more irregular than the surface, and hard to identify in any event.  Cimborazo is merely the farthest surface feature from the centre of the earth.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Just took a 45 minute walk, fuck it's hot.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

So I was online at work today, filling out my computer-based yearly PHA (Personal Health Assessment).  It asks me if I am a member of one of the "Uniformed Services".

Of course, so I select that option.  Next question...

"Which Uniformed Service are you a member of?"

It has the standard four, and the Coast Guard, and also.....the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration.

WTF?

An interesting Alt hist scenario I came across, if George II had died before fathering Fredrick, his sister Sophia the Queen in Prussia would have inherited the throne of Great Britain and Ireland. Her son of course was Fredrick the Great.

Salic law would give Hannover to George I's brother, but he dies without issue a year later in 1728. The next in line I believe would be Augustus William of Brunswick-Lüneburg but he's 66 with no issue and his brother Louis Rudolph is 57 with no issue. The next claimant after that is Louis Rudolph's cousin Ferdinand Albert II who had married Louis Rudolph's daughter.

If Sophia's unwilling to let Hannover go, que a war of Hannoverian succession that rolls into and combines with the war of Polish succession.  :menace:
