Just heard from our sales person to client:

For Belgium would you need the study in French and German? Well let's for the sake of argument say that they speak Belgianese and Belgium.

:weep:

Does your business get a lot of tax credits?  I don't think you've ever told a story about your coworkers where they didn't come off as at least profoundly uneducated, but also kind of stupid.

I think that as much as Portland is a retirement home for 20 somethings, my work is a rest home for those in their late 20s and early 30s who no longer feel like working anymore. :(

I thought you lived in New York.  Quit being a nomad.  Also, stop talking shit about my shining city on a hill (well, second choice). :P

I do live in New York. It was just an analogy.

Fair enough.  But you do move and travel a lot, or at least that's my impression, so I misinterpeted it. -_-

Such beauty! The passion of the aesthete! As my world lay sundered in spent desires, failed ambitions, flooded bathrooms and unhallowed toilets, the following is a comfort that brought me to tears. The sacred lunar language loses the greater part of its wonder when translated into our black speech, and yet even so, I weep tears of tea. It is meet that the full force of this eloquence escape us, so that our crude sensibilities, smacking of butter and excess hair, are not driven insensate through overexposure.

Quote
Every time I feel your heart
your burning, sincere passion singes me
were this world to turn against you, my dear love
oppose its rotation and return to me
Men are alike butterflies, as Women are alike flowers
though heaven and earth are also alike, we choose to live
should we be separated by the flow of time
we must continue living our lives without each other
should you ascend the heavens and look below
show me the scenery in my dreams
even though we fall in love, and drown in passion
I desire my wish fulfilled, above this happiness we both share
I desire your pursuit of beautiful things
so abide by my desire, for eternity
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

There's actually a London office as well and apparently the operations staff are even lazier...

Well, companies like this usually don't stick around for too long, because someone more motivated will take their place.

I think being acquired by one of the largest British multinationals triggered the slowdown. :D

Do they say shockingly ignorant things about North America? :P  "For the purposes of this conversation, let's assume the capital of America is called America City...  :hmm:"

I wish we had this smilie on this board:
