Doh, yeah cheddar.  Frau Spiess never buys it so I tend to forget it.

How can you live in a world without cheddar.   :hmm:

Yeah doesn't seem like a world worth living in.

Ask Argies.  They hate the stuff.

My theory is that one B-2 on a night stealth mission could drop enough Swiss Cheese on North Korea to kill Kim within the year.  I think it is a theory worth testing.

First you'd need to OK it with the Big Cheese.

One article I ran across earlier today mentioned he's getting fatter on purpose, to better emulate his dad & granddad.  Plus apparently looking fat is a positive image in North Korea.  I would think the starving millions would be resentful of an overstuffed leader, but that's my non-Juche mind I guess.

You Euro balls of light are just plain more sophisticated than we are.  Most common form of cheese here is probably processed, followed by cheddar.

Emmental and Gouda is certainly available here, but are "premium" cheeses at higher prices.

Canada seems to have some stupid rules about it. I recall seeing some companies complaining about it. Groceries in the US seem to be going all-out with hundreds of cheeses from everywhere in the last decade or so. I think Trader Joe's started it.

Edit: It was Kerrygold complaining they couldn't sell their butter in Canada IIRC.

I just wish we could figure out how to make cheese in the US as good as European cheese and at a lower price.  We've done it with beer.

Can't do it without changing the FDA rule that all cheese has to be made with homogenized milk.

Though FWIW I'm okay with the maggot cheese being banned.

You mean that stuff from Sardinia?  :yuk:

I can't imagine even trying that.
