Somebody is the owner of a lonely heart.

You know you were rocking to that shit during the 7th grade dance.  Yeah, that dance.  You know which one I'm talking about.  You wore your new Vans that night, with your favorite Ocean Pacific t-shirt.

While wearing a keyboard tie newly purchased from Chess King.

If I could I'd veto Cat Stevens, Yes, KISS and Deep Purple <_< :bleeding:

This may be the closest we've ever come to total agreement. :o

Don't give me the long distance runaround.

Don't be so harsh; I think somebody just doesn't deal well with Changes.

 Also, fuck you, Yi and Sheilbh.  I can understand Yes isn't everbody's bag- hell, I have to be in the mood to listen to them, but you're seriously going to try and say Perfect Strangers and Machine Head don't deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame?  Black Sabbath is already in, and Deep Purple took their music as far as Black Sabbath took their sellout.

Peter Gabriel is not a band ;)  but he should definitely be in.

Peter Gabriel should not be in, but Genesis should. :secret:

Genesis was already inducted 3 years ago.

 Oops.  My bad.  In that case, I rescind my objection, though I still think he just doesn't have the body of work on his own to warrant a Hall of Fame induction.  Seriously, when's the last time you heard a Peter Gabriel song that wasn't either from So or a shitty Disney soundtrack?  Shock the Monkey, Games Without Frontiers, and that's it.

Solsbury Hill, Big Time, Biko
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

OK, I'll grant you Solsbury Hill.  Big Time's on So, and I don't think I've ever heard Biko outside of my own copies of Melt.

Is she on the list? <_<

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

No love for The Meters.   :(

I think it's amusing that Chic was sampled by inductees The Beastie Boys and Grandmaster Flash, but isn't in.  (Though I wouldn't vote for them in the fan poll.)

Sophie Scholl

KISS, NWA, and Nirvana all deserve to get in on their historical impact, let alone their impressive and/or quality of material.  The Meters and The Zombies on their ability and level of greatness in my opinion.  I think Gabriel and a few others should definitely get in, I'm just not sure if they're first ballot material or worthy of knocking out others when only selecting 5.
