Back around the winter of '03-'04, I remember trying to make some pretty tangential and inoffensive point about WWI, and having Grumbler tear into me in such a disproportionately mean-spirited fashion and pushing my buttons so badly that when I went out for a nice pizza dinner in the middle of our debate, I had so much adrenaline pumping and was so preoccupied with our argument that I could not enjoy my meal at all.

Thus was I inducted into this esteemed fraternal order...

Everybody's gotta get grumblered in if they want their colors, bro.

I don't recall ever being grumblered.  :(

Actually we still haven't had a 'Languish wedding' have we ?

Though I'm holding out for Money to come visit Blighty and sweep Brazen off her feet, before her ill-advised fitness programme does that permanently.  :bowler:

About as likely as Garbon marrying Marty.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Or anyone marrying Marty for that matter.

BTW, we have had a Languish wedding, it just happened while both parties were away from the forum and one of them hasn't returned.  :hmm:

To qualify for that status both parties would have to have met here, afaik Sav and CB knew each other before Languish ?

She would become bored with my rakish charm and devil-may-care rogue and carefree attitude to life.

As we've had roughly zero women find this place on their own, that's a pretty tall order. Unless "Natalie2" starts returning Raz's pms, that is.

Everybody gets gotten by grumbler.  The question is, can you get him back?

Down that path lies madness.

Razgovory

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

(not to Raz, but the idea that an single woman would independently find her way here, what with all the pro-feminism, motherhood friendly statements that flung about here)

Assholes here don't know how to handle Grumbler. When he starts, don't respond. Let him get it out of his system.

  B5.

All dogfights start high and fast, and wind up low and slow.  The secret is knowing when to apply your air brakes and letting Jester go by.   And you shoot him in the ass anyway, damn the 10,000 ft deck limit.

Ed Anger

I'd rather watch Andromeda than B5. Or a test pattern.
