Got a beta key myself.

This is actually my first MMO but reading this thread (barristers massive Tim'ian hype)

I'm very restrained in my massive hype.

The question is if I like enough to pay the subscription fees. How does that work anyway? can you pause your subscription?

You pay for a month at a time.  You can cancel your subscription at any time, and then once the month is up you have no further charges (but can not play any more).  You can re-subscribe at any time, even after months or years.  I've never heard of a MMO deleting your characters if you're inactive.

Yeah so far Engineering is my favorite branch. Thinking I'll be Engineer in Science Vessel or Cruiser in live game.

Gawd, this game is aggravating.

It has more bugs than I'd like to see this late in development.
