yes, but cgi septagenerians doing backflips and judo chops is just silly

All the Assburgers fell for it when it was Yoda.
Did they?  Was there anyone who thought that was cool?
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I'm reasonably certain that yoda's backflipping lightsabre fighting was yet another one of the things that the prequels were castigated for. It was just so far out of character for the one who revels in the wonder of the force that binds us all.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

The Yoda fighting scene got a massive applause in the cinema I was in when the movie first came out. But yeah, it's terrible because it's so far out of character for him. And not in a "I never fight but you have given me no choice" way. That *might* have been interesting.

The new Star Wars movies piss me off so much.

Same with the one I saw it in.  Damn, but do I hate Yoda.

People applauds in cinemas?

Yes. For some stupid reason.

Because they are showing happiness and approval?

I love New York audiences. So much chatter to the screen. Made the Sex and the City movie and Magic Mike awesome.

I want people to SHUT THE FUCK UP at the movies.

I can't hear the Disney movie I'm wacking off to.

If you want the fortress of solitude, watch it at home.

People cheering and clapping at the "Popeye scene" in Wolf of Wall Street was one of the highlights of the night when I rewatched it the other day. I dislike chatter during movies but this kind of spontaneous reactions are pretty fun.
