I love weddings.  Exception: Southern Baptist weddings.  "Having fun: SINFUL" :bleeding:

You would have liked my reception. Open bar, and food out the wazoo.

Southern Baptists weddings always have a fuckton of food too though, since about the only thing they're allowed to do is eat.  Probably explains why so many of them are whales. :)

My wife's aunts weren't too pleased with the reception. Sour faced cunts.

I actually didn't get any shit for the dancing and drinking at mine.  I was surprised.  They probably whispered behind our backs like good little gossipy church ladies though. :)

No cash bar to rock? :(
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

The Baptists don't like it...

I didn't do an open bar since I knew so many of the guests wouldn't make use of it.

Cal is the only person to try to eat food coming out of someone's wazoo.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I decided to install a light version of Ubuntu on my 10 year old computer since windows xp was failing.
It still can't play flash video smoothly :frusty:
Which makes no sense really since it could back in the day

I was just at a fine wedding, with lots of beer, champagne, and barbecue. The service was very lovely. After recovering from my initial shock that Tyr could fail to see something in a fun and positive light, I was further surprised about Cal's statement about Southern Baptist weddings. It must be a more rigorous denomination in the hills at the fringes of Southern civilization.

Edit: though I have only been to a few weddings, they have been of a good cross-section of denominations, and i've never heard of a cash bar. That seems like a terribly mercenary thing to do that would justly bring down condemnation.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

So does Tyr live in the same world the rest of us do?

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.
