Yeah those are pomegranate seeds. Looks like some sort of cake with a twinkie style cream filling.

corn beef hash
grits
cream of wheat
scrapple
goetta
chicken
biscuits and gravy
biscuits with no gravy
omelettes
waffles
French toast
taters

I could go on but you get the idea.  Also, we don't eat beans and mushrooms for breakfast like you guys do.
