One time when I was in the United Kingdom I saw a television commercial advertising a monster truck rally somewhere in the Midlands.  The commercial was considerably more sedate than our SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! commercials.  I thought that was a weird thing for the British to import; though I believe Bernie Taupin is from that part of the country.  Maybe the whole of the former Kingdom of Mercia is filled with brown dirt cowboys.
