Yes why indeed

Why does Argentina have such a chip on their shoulder anyway?  The war was almost 45 years ago, get over it already, and they were the aggressor to begin with.  Their team has really been disgraceful so far, and frankly deserves to lose by 5 red cards.

Thinking about it. Argentina are the footballing equivalent of Reform.
Bizare nationalist vitrol is the norm. Constant cheating and minor attacks on the opposition. Just hoping for the moment they get a little back so they can cry foul and play the victim.

It is huge - the players chanting "for Diego and the Malvinas" etc. But I was in Argentina years ago and was surprised how omnipresent the Malvinas were.

But I think having lost is the problem (and politically feel like Milei could be the kind to try again if things get sticky domestically).

Which party is beloved by the police and has their opposition arrested? Whichever party that is is the Argentina equivalent

There's not a youth hostel in the world where the map on the wall hasn't been defaced with Malvinas are Argentinian.

Another commonality with Deform.

And another - they're a one man show. Without him they're nothing.

Let us have some fisticuffs.

I believe it is displacement activity, Argentina has been very badly run for over a century and it has been largely the fault of the voters. It sucks to take responsibility hence the pretence that the Falklands matter.

Kanes been quiet again. Doesn't show up for england, does he?

I'm sorry - I'm not allowing Messi - Farage slander :P

Also practically he is a phenomenally gifted beautiful player. But he is a passenger defensively so everyone else needs to work a little bit harder (and maybe a bit more cynically). I think I said it earlier but 2022 Argentina were really good, this time around we're finally seeing what Atletico would look like if they had Messi

Obviously a bit more bite because of the wider context of Maradona, "animals", the Falklands/Malvinas etc for Argentina.

He's scored six goals in this World Cup and I think our top scorer in World Cups ever (and approaching top scorer) :o

But handled well here and effectively nullified by Norway too. But also very few shots at all so far. I think both are defending pretty well.
