Is ESPN full of shit, or have England and Argentina really not played each other since November of 2005?  And this is only the fifth meeting since they beat Argentina on the way to the World Cup in 1966?

Seems believable. Off the top of my head - 86, 98, 2002. Not many friendlies but I don't think England plays many friendlies with American teams anyway - mainly Europeans and African teams (I assume for timezone reasons of where their competitive qualification matches are).

On the other hand Scotland have qualified for the World Cup 8 times, never got past the group stages and played Brazil five times
