Yeah, we talked about it here when he was signing people up to become the first travelers to Mars.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

He has some room to escalate his stock pumping though. By 2030 or so, I expect the promise of a Dyson Sphere.

Baron von Schtinkenbutt

Plot twist: it will be a spherical robot vacuum manufactured by Dyson.

To build the chips for his robo taxis, his humanoid robots and his AI data centers in space, Musk now wants to build the biggest chip factory in the world. He plans for 2 nm chips, the most advanced there are, and 1 million wafers per month, which would be about 2/3 of world market leader TSMC's global output from a single facility. Millions of Musk's humanoid robots will operate the facility.

Back in 2020 Musk promised a similar moonshot for batteries. So far, they reached about 2% of the then targeted capacity and still have significant quality issues.

 :hmm: :lmfao:

He'll still raise billions because the market is a board game for bots and idiots.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Apparently he gets billions in subsidies due to the Burden era CHIPS Act and a similar Texas law. Even if he never makes a single chip. Your tax dollar at work to pump the richest man in the world.

Well yeah. That is one of the primary roles of our government: to funnel billions of dollars from tax payers to the richest people.

Elon sure as fuck didn't get rich providing products and services to consumers.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Imagine what would happen if there was 50 of him

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

The Minsky Moment

The IPO raised $75 billion. The trillion + is an implied valuation based on the public per share trading price of the available public shares.  That doesn't mean there is a ready and willing buyer out there prepared to pay a trillion plus for Elon's shares.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

So, now he can channel more funds to European hard right parties and do some more election interference.

I think we've been too worried about Russian and Chinese interference, considering Musk has more wealth to squander on mini-Mussolinis, Verwoerds, Bothas, Ivan the Terribles and the rest than most intelligence agencies ever would have. And also a rather nefarious AI system.

The trillion dollars or the thousand baby mommas?

Musk tried to downplay the trillion dollars yesterday by saying that only .1% of his wealth is in cash... which is a billion dollars in cash.  He's down in the struggle like the rest of us.
