The energy crisis has been a boon for Russia.  I suspect this was part of the motivation for the strikes on the Baltic oil and gas terminals a couple days ago.  So, Ukraine has a vested interest in reducing its impact, and they can do so by helping the GCC secure the Strait of Hormuz and their oil and gas facilities.

Also at a really basic level Iran is an ally of Russia - so enemy's enemy. Russia is providing intelligence supporting Iranian strikes in the Gulf, Iran has provided missiles for strikes on Ukraine. In the slightly wider context, I'd very much expect Zelensky is trying with the US - and also Israel - to tie Iran and Russia together as one fight. I think that makes sense from a Ukrainian perspective, I think it could perhaps become challenging from a European perspective (and is, in itself, revealing) but I think Euro-support for Ukraine is strong enough to not really be affected by it.
