Today, 17 April, HM The King and Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard are visiting Lviv to show Sweden's strong support for Ukraine.

HM The King and Ms Malmer Stenergard are visiting Lviv, Ukraine, hosted by President Volodomyr Zelenskyy. During the day, HM The King and Ms Malmer Stenergard are also carrying out several visits to learn about experiences from the war.

"I'm looking forward to visiting Ukraine once again to discuss the state of the war, the humanitarian situation and the prospects for a just and lasting peace. Sweden's support to Ukraine is special. It has broad political support but also comes from the whole of society and the hearts of the people. Today's visit together with HM The King marks Ukraine's first visit by a monarch since the war began and is further evidence of Sweden's widespread and unwavering support," says Ms Malmer Stenergard.
