Nope, they stopped at 2. Nothing to see here.

We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Meanwhile, there's been 16 "Final" Fantasies (not counting side titles). :P

Quote from: Admiral Yi on September 10, 2025, 03:42:03 PMThe strange part is I saw it in a theater that did show real porn from time to time, so it's odd they would opt for the R+ version.
Such cuts for movies usually are released a little while after it had its initial run in theater.

Yi was about 12 or so when it was released.  If he saw it in a theatre it was much later in some porn movie house dive.

And by that point it's hard to believe the porn parts were not added in

3rd season of Foundation was messy with many plates to spin, but I did think it culminated in a decent conclusion (with some major changes to status quo). Not sure how I feel about the Mule twist. Would need to rewatch, I guess, if it all makes sense somewhat. I still appreciate the scale of things, but generally try not to pull too hard at the plot threads. It's definitely space OPERA - big, dramatic, pulpy, high stakes etc. I liked it a lot better than S2. But that might be a "me" thing - Season 2 had the mentalic hippy/cult commune. Between Star Wars Acolyte's Coven, or Byron's telepaths in Babylon 5 (or Joe Haldeman's Forever Peace) it's one of my least favorite tropes. I know, telepathic empathy leading to peaceful communes and all that, but I can't help but cringe at how it's often protrayed.

Season 4 has been confirmed, but David S. Goyer has left the show, and there will be a new writing team coming in. Also, apparently, lower budget. I read somewhere that Goyer's original treatment had 8 seasons planned, with off ramps in seasons 4 and 6.

The way S3 ended, I expect no big time skip this time (but who knows), and I guess a lot will depend on how the new team runs the series going forward. I sure am curious where this is headed (with the new reveals in the tail end of S3).

I think this was a great season.  True there was a lot going on - but they did a great job with each of the plot lines.  I especially liked that they did not rush any of them to a conclusion.  All the main plot lines remain open to be further developed in season 4.

If you go back through what happened in season 2 the Mule makes a lot of sense - but I won't post it here as it would be a huge spoiler.

Oh, I agree it was a great watch; I think my comment came across harsher than I actually felt. I think I was maybe a tad overwhelmed by it all (I watched the last three episodes in one go :D ). And Brother Dusk surprised me but also didn't, if that makes sense.  Also some interesting developments in how Gaal handled things this season. And the "left hand" Seldon adding another wrinkle.

Started to watch The Pitt, about 8 episodes in. Loving it.

The "only" 2 sequels don't count.  :P

Gartenbaukino is doing a wrestling documentary/movie retrospective. I have seen Beyond the Mat, the Bret Hart documentary, The Wrestler. I still mean to watch Iron Claw about the tragedy of the von Erich family. And Grunt looks fun :D

Nearly finished squid game. Waited for series 3 to start on 2.
Damn there's so much frustrating dumb behaviour.

It's essentially a "horror" show, isn't it?  Frustratingly dumb behavior is part of the schtick.
