Man, finding a job is hard when you are stupid and unpleasant.  I haven't even heard back from Taco Bell or Papa John's.  There's a few jobs I won't touch, like security guard (you think giving me a gun is a good idea?), corrections officer (I do like correcting people, but I don't want to get shived), and detention officer at a juvenile detention center (I really don't want to get beat up by 14-year olds again).
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

It's crazy hard for everybody. I am sure I would need to do a few rounds of interviews just to deliver pizza these days.

My sister just lost her job. The economic pressure on my family is really building this year.

Hooray!  I just got an email back!  I got the job as a part-time Deli-guy at a local grocery store!  A local employee-owned store!

Haven't held a job since 2002, but I really need to help my mom pay for stuff at the retirement home. I've been very nerverous since about last April.  Getting a job is an immense relief.  Job interview must have gone better than I thought.  Dying beard was a success.  I'm not that old, I turned 44 last month, but beard was very gray, and people though I was much older.
