I met a guy about as tall as Shaq (though not as buff) at a subway platform - he had to duck under the displays and couldn't stand upright in the train. I'm about 183cm and was reaching to his chest only. It felt really weird.

I like stargate, but I don't think it was super popular. Viper might disagree . However, Buffy was everywhere in the 90s. But that was probably more of a thing in this side of the pond.

I have friends here who absolutely loved Buffy and Angel. At this point I'm too lazy to catch up on it. Still mean to get into Stargate, though. I watched episodes of SG Universe (and/or Atlantis) now and then and thought those were quite ok. I preferred the weird stuff like Farscape or (before that) LEXX, though

If you ever get to the later seasons of stargate Claudia black and Ben browder star. Theres even an episode where they poke fun at Farscape (amongst other things).

I did enjoy Farscape more, though.

*edit* I forgot about Lexx. That show was... odd. And I probably started watching too young

I think Jewel Staite (Kaylee from Firefly) also shows up as a doctor in later shows/seasons?

On Atlantis. She actual played two characters. Cast Regular but also as a wraith in one episode.

I only in the past years watched most of stargate sg1. I think it is better than Atlantis. I like how it is willing to poke fun at itself. I only finally got the original movie for free this weekend and that, with no show following up, was dreck. Took itself way too seriously.
