Damn. You got to level 20? That is applause worthy.

How long has this game been going on?

It's the new mile stone system.  You just go up a level when the DM wants you too.  It's a game run by the game shop so it has been going for about a year I think.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Nothing on Fox News about the crashing stock market  :hmm:

Given his love for golf I'm unsure what type of bunker to imagine....

He was probably just taking his time to draft this.

Let's see how much of a bump that gives Tesla stock tomorrow.

Tamas

Further linking the Tesla brand with Musk is going to do wonders. Not.

Syt

Well, so far it's wiped out the post-election bump the stock had when it was clear that Musk would be in the corridors of power.

"Globalist" has been around for a long time as a stand-in for "cosmopolitan elite" and "cultural marxist", aka Jew.

I've always associated it with a section of the left opposed to international capital and free markets, c.f - neo-liberalism

I guess this is our general US politics thread?
Randomly stumbled on this 15 min video, an interesting one in tying NIMBYism to Democrat defeats. Democrat states need to make it easier to build, allowing for a larger population and more EC votes.
Interesting how it sort of vibes with my thoughts about the UK too. Is this a global (anglo?) issue?

There is no utopia waiting on the other side of Trump's economy

It's just pain now in exchange for more pain later.

The carnage in the U.S. stock market continues. The S&P 500 is now down around 7.5% over the last month, and is lower than it was on the day before Trump was elected:

The Minsky Moment

You have an absentee CEO who hasn't shown up for work for years, who has systematically alienated and offended the core customer base, help implement government policies that directly harm the company, and whose conduct and actions caused one of the most catastrophic sales declines in corporate history.  In any other company there would be an immediate proxy fight to expel the CEO, followed by company and/or derivative suits for breach of fiduciary duty.  Instead, the company is helping the CEO pressure the Delaware legislature into authorizing a $56 billion share grab for Musk.

There must be minority shareholder out there instructing their lawyers to bring a derivative action?  The pleading drafts itself.

But I suppose the concern is that the courts aren't going to function properly, or the minority shareholders don't want to become the targets of political force, coercion, or violence. Or perhaps combination of all of it.

Well the board is stacked with his relatives and flunkies. The shareholders only exist to be fleeced.

Trump was so proud of the stock market numbers during his first term that he wants to bring them back.

As an aside, while looking at said numbers the DOW and SNP 500 has over doubled in 10 years, the NASDAQ has almost quadrupled. How does that even make sense?
