I watched far too many seasons of Stargate SG-1, even after it became rote.  It wasn't good, but it was comfortable.

When my boys were old enough, we watched all the seasons together. We played a game to guess what would happen, and normally they would get it bang on.  Yes, formulaic, but great fun.

I pretty much binged that show too. I never caught it when it was on TV, but ended up buying the entire series on DVD, after I came across Stargate Atlantis, which I much preferred.

I've just learned they've made a tv series of the wool trilogy. I liked those books. Didn't realise this was being done at all beyond talk some years ago of a film. I'm adding it to the list.

Because Duque can't get enough of his favorite star :P :P
John Wick, but as a Seagal movie

I've read more than a few comments suggesting his movies are vehicles for money laundering by the Russian mafia.  It makes sense.  Nobody could make such bad movies and expect to make money.

Steven Seagal? And dubious Russian money? :o

Sheilbh

Magpie Murders on BBC iPlayer - very solid whodunnit nested in a whodunnit. Starring Lesley Manville (and loads of other British character actors ).
Let's bomb Russia!

Yellowstone. Seemed good at first, but then it just started to grate on me. About a dysfunctional family where the father is told to be a horrible man, but always behave as a responsible pater familias. They live a republican dream life and murder people left and right.

This has to be some republican party wank material and I refuse to believe that life is like that in those parts of the US.

Tonitrus

Yellowstone is essentially just a high-budget soap opera.

celedhring

I kinda resent that Taylor Sheridan has been milking all of this Yellowstone nonsense instead of making more movies.

I did not know they were such patrons of the arts but given Seagal's steep artistic decline that is a distinct possibility.
Given the other nasty rumours as in Seagal enjoying too much the local beauties without necessarily getting consent, it would not be surprising.

If you want to check out GOP porn look at SouthLAnd.  Cop show.  Every single person the cops interact with is an idiot.

The main character is the loveable cigar smoking sargeant from Band of Brothers, which is kinda sad.
