Option 2: Orioles winning season

Option 3: Cubs win World Series

Option 4: Jaron-sized asteroid hits the earth, destroying life as we know it

:hmm:
Pirates. The Cubs have the hardest achievement to get and the Orioles are in the same division with the Red Sox, Yankees, and the Rays.
Cubs will win the WS long before either of those clubs get off the schnide.
Cubs win! Cubs win! They're powered by Epstein now, so it's only a matter of time. If he can win with the Red Sox, he can win with the Cubbies. I believe.

And if Dan Duquette can build the '94 Montreal Expos into The Greatest Team That Never Was, he can definitely take the Orioles absolutely nowhere. I believe.
If the Bucs have a second 25 man roster ready for the second half of the season, THIS MIGHT BE THE YEAR!
College Baseball starts today. The ping of the bat, the murmur of the crowd, the smell of the fake grass, the amazing skills of 1 and 2 tool players. It is all so magical.
But yeah the doom of the Orioles has no end in sight. I vote Pirates just because the Cubs could have every top player in the game and win 150 games and would still find a way to lose the WS.

Seriously people have the past 104 years taught you nothing?
I think I'm going to watch the 7th game of the 1971 World Series tonight. :)

I want The Expos to come back :( I miss watching Baseball & the Blue Jay's aren't fun to watch.

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution the corporate boss watches baseball on one of his screens - Expos@Tigers. The game starts in Detroit, the devs are from Montreal. So I guess you're not alone.
At any rate, it can't be worse than the Nats.
Don't know. Canada is Blue Jay's territory.

It has taught me patience. Boundless, zen-like patience.

The Jays would be more fun if they had a chance in hell of making the playoffs. Ah the AL East.

I still have a ways to go but Angelos is a good teacher.

Do not get me started on that.
16 teams, god damn it.

Fuck the Cubs.
Fuck them. You've seen what "lovable loser teams done good" can do to a town like Boston; can you imagine the sheer power of obnoxiousness Chicago could unleash upon the Earth? Too terrible to behold.
The Cubs must never succeed.

I'm sorry, I blacked out there for a moment while my pants became a dairy factory. You were saying?

That's what people said about the Red Sox, too, prior to Epstein.
Have faith, man. No such thing as curses.
Voted Orioles winning season. Angelos will be 83 this year; there's a good chance he'll croak before Theo gets the Cubs turned around.

I dunno, man. From what I've read and heard, you don't want that organization anywhere near either of his idiot sons, Uday and Qusay Angelos.

Anyways, I guess I can take solace in the fact that nobody bothered to mock the unlikelihood of a Royals winning season. :(
Their 2003 season ruined the nice streak they've got going.
And another has-been will likely come to Pittsburgh . . . .

QuoteBRADENTON, Fla. -- The Pirates and New York Yankees reached an agreement Friday that will send right-handed starter A.J. Burnett to Pittsburgh, according to a source.
The Yankees will pay $20 million of the remaining $33 million owed Burnett over the next two seasons, and the Pirates will send two prospects to the Yankees, the source said. The Yankees will receive pitcher Diego Moreno and outfielder Exicardo Cayones, according to The Associated Press.
Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig must approve the transaction because it involves a transfer of more than $1 million. The deal also is pending on Burnett passing a physical.
Serious negotiations lasted more than a week.
Burnett, 35, went 11-11 with a 5.15 ERA in 2011 and had a 5.00-plus ERA each of the past two seasons. He signed a five-year, $82.5 million contract before the 2009 season after opting out of a five-year, $55 million deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Eh it is not like there is much hitting when Texas plays, team ERA was 2.35 and team BA was .269.
And yeah the bats have not gone ping in years but, you know, tradition.
Accoridng to a radio interview with Keith Law of ESPN the Orioles are not only the worst team this year, but also the worst team in MLB based on some 5 year projection rating.

My projections say 15 years.

Did they trade in their aluminum bats for cantaloupes?
