When people are drowning, they are often panicky and not thinking clearly.  Which is why they die.

Well, that and the drowning.

Sometimes that's not enough.  They have to flop around a lot, rip off the rescuer's scuba mask, make completely illogical running mate picks.

I'm just a foreigner but I still don't get that "nomination". At all.

It's a move of desperation on the part of Cruz.  Conventional wisdom is that Trump will do poorly with women voters; Ted is trying to get them to the polls for him.  Unfortunately (for Cruz) it comes across as the worst example of pandering since 1980 when, in a transparent attempt to pick up the Latino vote, Ted Kennedy picked Jose Cuervo as his running mate.

Not disagreeing it's a desperation move, but it does make sense on a number of levels.

-as an appeal to women voters, where Trump is definitely having problems
-she was doing very well as a Cruz "surrogate" on the campaign trail, so this gives her a higher profile
-say what you will about her time at HP, but she's still more successful at business than Trump
-and with all the talk about Cruz being unlikeable, here's someone who likes Cruz enough to run with him
-Fiorina seemed to be quite capable at getting under Trump's skin

The problem is that she herself is quite unlikeable. It's like Rumplestiltskin enrolling the Wicked Witch. :P

It's going to be pretty pronounced once Bernie drops out and it's just her left on the stage. As a presidential candidate on the stump she's Jeb! minus the soaring oratory and raw animal magnetism.  :hmm:

I think we finally have evidence you aren't even paying attention to the conversation. They are talking about Cruz and Carly. :secret:

QuoteAfter Trump arrived, protesters took down a barrier and flooded the entrance outside the hotel, where police again blocked them from entering. They chanted, "Get him out."

Every time they do it, they get more votes for Trump.

Are you sure you'd want to? Think about all the sunglasses you could steal as a Mexican.

:D

I'm sending that one to my crazy uncle in California.

"Too many goddamned Mexicans around here."
"You do realize all those Spanish-sounding names in California are Spanish-sounding for a reason, right? I mean, they just didn't name 'San Diego' or 'San Luis Obispo' that way just out of some kind of hipster-retro marketing campaign, right?"
"Bah, that was when it was Spainish.  That's different."
