I'd say that technically t's only dirty politics if it's not true.

If it's true, brining it up is kind of lame and insult to the intelligence of the voters.  Granted, the voters might actually be that stupid.

Actually, given that it looks like the 2 major parties are going to nominate Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump for President, there is a very good argument that the voters are indeed that stupid.

One thing I was thinking about in regards to Christie endorsing Trump. I was wondering what their relationship is, their history. I mean, Trump is a real estate mogul who made billions on casinos in New Jersey, among other places, right? There has to be history there, and probably not very savory history either.

I think the answer is that to a certain extent it doesn't matter. Scandals involving a president turn into team a vs. team b regardless of the substance (up to a very high limit). I suspect that Watergate wouldn't result in the president resigning in the current environment for that reason.

Now it may be different with Trump because team republican may not back him up.

I don't know about that.  Atlantic City is a horribly corrupt hellhole, but as far as I know, it's not a mobbed up hellhole.  Maybe it's just a good sales pitch, but their gaming commission is actually very intolerant of any suspected mob connections to any of the casino operators.

The story I heard is that all the casino companies focused on Macau in recent years, at the expense of Atlantic City or even Las Vegas.
