I wonder what will happen with the Senate now, given that GOP is very likely to take it.  Would they go nuclear preemptively and completely eliminate filibuster on anything, to eliminate any kind of check on their power for at least two years?  It would seem very stupid not to, given that they've already been breaking norms to get the first-mover advantage at the risk of having it turned against them later.  You don't get the presidency and both chambers often.

If they do go nuclear, then it would once again show how dangerously naive Democrats were in 2009 by not being the first ones to do it, and how it was a tragic mistake by Obama to think that he could reason with his opponents.
