Marty, you cut and pasted out a couple of big ones:

If he could do as well among whites in the Rust Belt as well as Republicans normally do in the South and West, he can win without any minority support practically.

Reaping what you sow seems like a fair description of the presidential race.
You have one candidate in the pockets of Wall Street. And another one, too.

Isn't most of US debt still held domestically, too? Looks like he likes loading hollow points when shooting himself in the foot.

Isn't most developed economy debt held domestically? That's why Japan still exists.

If forbes.com is to be believed...65% of the total US debt is domestic, but 41% (again of the overall total) is by the government itself (Social Security at 16%, other US Gov entities at 13%, and the Federal Reserve at 12%).

Can you give an example for this pretty "common occurrence" among first world countries that were not on the brink of disaster or had just lost a war? The countries with the best credit, e.g. US or UK never did it.

How would the US be the safest bet if you would not know whether you get 100 cents on the dollar? That's junk bond level.

It also seems pretty dumb in that U.S. could just print more U.S. Dollars to pay back the debt. I'm pretty sure that the resultant inflation would be way less of a problem than defaulting.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The US have been trying to increase taxes and/or decrease spending for neary three decades and failed. So your idea is unreasonable.

You are shit at history.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

In another masterful analysis of US politics, Martinus just told me black people hate Hillary Clinton. :P

Rebuttal, Martinus? Or are you too cowardly to face me in an open debate on this forum?

The biggest problem with Donald Trump as I see it is that all people holding important public offices should have a degree of humility.  He has yet to show that he is up to it.
