QuoteTrump files Nevada voting lawsuit

From CNN's Ariane DeVogue:

In a sign that the legal team for the Trump campaign is aggressively laying the ground work for potential legal challenges—big and small—lawyers have gone to state court in Nevada in an early vote dispute.

In legal briefs filed last night, Trump lawyers are asking for relief in case "the election of presidential electors from the State of Nevada is contested."

They are suing Joe P. Gloria, the Clark County Registrar of Voters, over a decision, they allege, he made to keep polling locations open "two hours beyond the designated closing time." The lawsuit targets polling places in greater Las Vegas that have larger minority voting precincts.

Dan Kulin, a spokesperson for the county, told CNN that no early voting stations extended their closing times. They did, however, process voters who were in line at closing time to allow as many people to vote as possible.

Trump lawyers are asking for an order to have the pertinent early vote ballots not to "commingled or interspersed" with other ballots.

"From the polling, it appears that Nevada is so close, that the Trump campaign thinks it's worth challenging any violation in voting protocol," said Robert Lang, of University of Nevada Las Vegas. "The numbers that came in could represent several thousand people across the four precincts, which could determine who wins the electoral college vote or change the senate race."

He said the Trump campaign is "smart to put a marker down for a future challenge, considering what happened in 2000 in Florida."

Black people point on notice that they could be to blame. First Bernie and now Hillary!

QuoteClinton also needs to avoid a major drop in black turnout, which could put North Carolina out of reach.

QuoteOne week ago, early returns had Democrats fretting. Turnout among black voters was lagging, and while Latinos were submitting ballots in large numbers, so were white voters seen as more likely to support Trump.

Those trends shifted during the last four days. Black turnout jumped substantially, boosted by Obama's multiple Florida visits and Sunday's "souls to the polls" voting drive led by black churches.

Black turnout in Florida will end up higher than in 2012, Daniel Smith, a University of Florida political science professor and election data analyst, predicted on Sunday.

My biggest concern with Trump winning really, from Poland's perspective, is not Russia - Putin will not send tanks into Poland or the Baltics even if Trump turns the blind eye - it would be much too costly for him to try to subjugate a hostile populace.

My biggest concern is that it will continue to empower other Brexit-esque, Putin-esque and Trump-esque populist nationalist movements across Europe, eventually leading to the collapse of the EU.

Nope, but I'm in CT.  There weren't even any signs for presidential candidates at the polls, it was all state and local.

Interestingly yesterday someone put up Trump/Pence signs on every other telephone pole on the main road here.  I'm assuming they got lost and thought they were in PA.

Any Trump muscle at y'all's polls?

There's been local yapping about pictures getting taken of voters at polls down at College Park, but that so far is social media talk.

In lawsuit, Trump campaign alleges Registrar's actions "very much appear to have been intentionally coordinated with Democratic activists."

Voting machines in PA were counting Hillary when you pressed the Trump button.  Problem fixed after machines "recalibrated".
