Jaron

I went to vote today.

As I was about to select Hillary Clinton, I heard a divine voice in my ear whisper to me that I should vote for Trump.

God's will be done.
Winner of THE grumbler point.

And the Trumpster, earlier on TV:

Quote"I'm very proud of my children and I'm just looking at them right now as an example you show," Trump said. "But I'm very proud because Don and Eric and Ivanka and, you know, to a lesser extent because she just got out of school, out of college, but Tiffany has also been so terrific."

I'm sure Tiffany feels special now. :D

Breitbart is arguing that Trump is winning by any prediction model and if it turns out he loses, it means the elections were rigged. :hmm:

You know, reading that kind of shite I am starting to believe Breitbart is indeed slush-funded by the Kremlin.

Have the Americans never heard of a proper voting booth?

QuoteTrump files Nevada voting lawsuit

From CNN's Ariane DeVogue:

In a sign that the legal team for the Trump campaign is aggressively laying the ground work for potential legal challenges—big and small—lawyers have gone to state court in Nevada in an early vote dispute.

In legal briefs filed last night, Trump lawyers are asking for relief in case "the election of presidential electors from the State of Nevada is contested."

They are suing Joe P. Gloria, the Clark County Registrar of Voters, over a decision, they allege, he made to keep polling locations open "two hours beyond the designated closing time." The lawsuit targets polling places in greater Las Vegas that have larger minority voting precincts.

Dan Kulin, a spokesperson for the county, told CNN that no early voting stations extended their closing times. They did, however, process voters who were in line at closing time to allow as many people to vote as possible.

Trump lawyers are asking for an order to have the pertinent early vote ballots not to "commingled or interspersed" with other ballots.

"From the polling, it appears that Nevada is so close, that the Trump campaign thinks it's worth challenging any violation in voting protocol," said Robert Lang, of University of Nevada Las Vegas. "The numbers that came in could represent several thousand people across the four precincts, which could determine who wins the electoral college vote or change the senate race."

He said the Trump campaign is "smart to put a marker down for a future challenge, considering what happened in 2000 in Florida."

Isn't it normal to keep the voting station open until the last in line at closing time has voted?

What sucks is I can't get admin leave because my schedule still allows me two hours to vote with polls closing at 7, but they don't consider that I have an hour commute home! I'll use some of my annual leave <_<.

Last two places I worked we got "up to two hours" (i.e., exactly two hours) to vote, to be used whatever part of the day fit our schedule.  I've never had to wait in line more than 5 minutes to vote, so I'd get the voting out of the way and enjoy a nice long breakfast afterward.

Today I was sorta/kinda on my own time, so I drove the mile from my house to the polling station, voted, got bagels with my son on the way back, and was back home within 30 minutes :)
