Jones should have been MVP

No freaking way.  Flacco came through in a huge way with those FG drives when the Niners had the defense on their heels.  He was the MVP no doubt.

Well, San Francisco can take solace in the fact that the Niners are one of the youngest teams in the league.  They're not going anywhere.

After free agency hits, the Ravens will be dismantled faster than post-war Germany.

The ravens were pretty young in 2000 weren't they?

They've been properly aged.

Sorry man.  But I would be shocked if this group didn't win at least one before they are done.

QuoteAsked if Ravens QB Joe Flacco can lead Baltimore to the Super Bowl, Woodley responded:

"No, not at all because they have to go through one team -- that's the Pittsburgh Steelers in that AFC championship. So in order for them to get to the Super Bowl, they have to beat us, and we're not gonna let that happen once we get that close. So that's not gonna happen in this lifetime."
--Lamar Woodley, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers, June 2011

Conjecture where we were was that it was a Steelers' fan who short-circuited the power supply so that there would be no winner. Couldn't have Baltimore win because, well, it's Baltimore, and didn't want SF to win to tie-up the Steelers' record.

Ultimately, I went for the Ravens over the 49ers because I like their uniform better. :)

(And I think Flacco is a fucking beast.)

I could make a disparaging remark about women, but Languish has taught me that both sexes think this is an issue of vital importance.

Yeah, no matter who won, the Steelers would have lost.  The whole six rings thing is irrelevant, because what have they done lately?
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Which is aside from the fact that individual Steeler fans seem to regard the six rings thing as a personal achievement.  Can't get my mind around that one.
