Terrible, awful game.  You wouldn't like it.  Don't waste your money.

Well, the game survived my rather skeptical and critical view, and I definintely like it.

However, it looks like I won't be picking up my pre-order, as Berkutian family finances are in somewhat dire straits at the moment.

Meh, its temporary. Just one of those deals where everything unusual seems to happen at the same time, so discretionary fundage dries up for a little while.

But on the plus size, they changed the "Play" button back to "Engage".

That's bit drastic.... just lease 'em out a year at a time
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

So unless you buy the 12 month or lifetime you'll only be able to save three games at any given time? that sucks

Got a beta key myself.

This is actually my first MMO but reading this thread (barristers massive Tim'ian hype) and liking the Star Trek universe I decided to try it out. So far I like it. The question is if I like enough to pay the subscription fees. How does that work anyway? can you pause your subscription?

Anyway look out for Lt. Centius of the U.S.S. Legio

If you let someone handcuff you, and put a rope around your neck, don't act all surprised if they hang you!

Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Let your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life. Do not be concerned with escaping safely - lay your life before him.

 I'm very restrained in my massive hype.

You pay for a month at a time.  You can cancel your subscription at any time, and then once the month is up you have no further charges (but can not play any more).  You can re-subscribe at any time, even after months or years.  I've never heard of a MMO deleting your characters if you're inactive.
