Well, they put 44 on the Lions.  I think that line is more a function of the Texans pass rush and Schaub's ability to score at will.

I think the final straw was the impact it had on the Green Bay game, because while there have been plenty of screw-overs, this screw-over happened specifically to the home team.
I don't think the NFL wants to risk civil unrest again.

Very good point, I can think of a few NFL cities were that type of call could lead to some very destructive soccer-like behavior.
