Wow.  I take it the Titans suck this year?  I haven't been paying much (any at all) attention to them.

Well, they put 44 on the Lions.  I think that line is more a function of the Texans pass rush and Schaub's ability to score at will.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

So Seedy, which do you think was more critical in getting the real refs back?  Was it the embarrassing Monday Night fiasco or was it the Sunday Night loss of the Patriots, when the new refs forgot that the Patriots are supposed to win?

I think the final straw was the impact it had on the Green Bay game, because while there have been plenty of screw-overs, this screw-over happened specifically to the home team.
I don't think the NFL wants to risk civil unrest again.

If that Ravens kick at the end of the game had been in New England, it would've been called wide right, of course.

Neil

I think that the Seahawks were the home team.  Our Languishite in Washington State was at the game.

  That was in Seattle.

My bad.  Not enough coffee yet.

Then again, I wouldn't want to be a replacement ref in Green Bay this weekend in any case.

Now that might have been a real concern.  Can you imagine if they jobbed Green Bay again?

Very good point, I can think of a few NFL cities were that type of call could lead to some very destructive soccer-like behavior.

It's a weekend of good match-ups, though. Looks like I'll be planted in front of the TV on Sunday from noon onwards. I'm fairly sure that I can find an afghan to crochet while I watch so I can at least feel productive.  :hmm:

I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

Incorrect.  Obama made it happen.
