Say you pull up to the stop 3rd.  The person directly opposite you is first.  The person driving perpendicular to you is 2nd. 

Do you cross at the same time the guy opposite from you goes, figuring it's no additonal time lost for Mr. Two, or do you wait your turn?

iirc the roundabout in it is outside Lambeth Palace on the Southbank and ironically it's a pretty quite road intersection, from the times I've been over it (one of my shortcuts to the Imperial War Museum) .

If you pulled 3rd, that means the 1st car already has had the time to start crossing.  So, no, I would wait my turn if I want to go straight.  If I turn right though, I go right away.

BTW, I've started the habit of pointing at the driver I think has the next go.  Anything to avoid that jerk,stop,smile,jerk,wave,jerk,stop,wave.
