Say you pull up to the stop 3rd.  The person directly opposite you is first.  The person driving perpendicular to you is 2nd.

Do you cross at the same time the guy opposite from you goes, figuring it's no additonal time lost for Mr. Two, or do you wait your turn?

I curse the idiot who put stop signs at an intersection that can have three cars in it at the same time.

Seriously, though, I go by the book.  The less clever things I think of while driving, the easier I find it to drive.

Monoriu

4-way stops are stupid.  Roundabout is the way to go.

Meh, if you got the time, fuck it;  if the guy opposite you is going straight, hit the gas.  Just make sure it's not a little old lady who's making a left without her blinker.

Act like a Euro and sit at the stop until they are all clear.  Then look both ways and if there is a car coming anywhere within half a block, yield again.

Otherwise, if the car opposite you is crossing, you are allowed to cross.

I would suggest you go back to driver's ed.

sbr

There's a 4 way stop near my house where 3 of the lanes also have a left turn lane, so it is really a 7 way stop.  Talk about a clusterfuck.

That sounds Wyoming retarded.

I would suggest you go back to driver's ed.

You arrive at a 4-way stop with three other vehicles simultaneously.  Do you:
1) Go first
2) Allow the vehicle to the right of you the right of way
3) Sit back, relax and watch everybody else fuck a football like monkeys for 5 minutes

I'd go with option 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 ...

BTW, I've started the habit of pointing at the driver I think has the next go.  Anything to avoid that jerk, stop, smile, jerk, wave, jerk, stop, wave.
