Expanded map so far:

Iowa, Louisiana, Illinois are in the works.
HOLY FUCK, I've been in some of those buildings.  One of the churches shown is where I had boy scouts meetings.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Please don't suck...please don't suck...
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

I know there's a few field of glory players here. this bundle is has a lot of the dlc, really cheap.

I learned today that in Wing Commander: Privateer there's a mission for Oxford, where you have to escort a writer called Hunter Toth who has been marked for death by the "Church of Man" for his heretical writings.

And if that was not an obvious enough parallel, his in game portrait is based on Salman Rushdie. :D

I shall have to look into this. I remember I had one of them  and it was fun.

That's an interesting bundle. Anybody here played Fantasy General II?

Syt

I dabbled but didn't finish. It's more story focused than the original one, IIRC, with some branching mission choices.

A Star Wars turn based tactics game is coming, set during the Clone Wars. Details coming during Star Wars Celebration Tokyo this weekend.

Because, from a gameplay perspective, it will give you probably the most variety of units between clones of various loadouts/specializations, droids, Jedi, Mandalorians, battle droids, bounty hunters ...

I know, but still, it's Clone Wars.  :(

There's a new Commandos game out apparently.
I remember the first one fondly, but I think I will pass. My blood pressure can't take stealth games very well anymore.

The Clone Wars animated show made me at peace with that setting, so I'm fine with this.

Star Wars X-Com is something I could really get behind.

Syt

Tbh, I'm surprised they didn't just make it a Bad Batch game - you have pretty much a typical Commandos crew right there - the pathfinder, the sniper, the muscle, the tech ... :P
