The point is, President Oblamo is gonna lose by a landslide.

Maybe.  We'll see.

You would think a guy who loves blowing up Muslims using sky drones would be more popular with you.

That's it-- shift gears & go into a racial tirade when the thought of agreeing with the GOP becomes too painful to bear

Actually, I have no reason to agree with the GOP, as I think this is all a rather piddling reason for a Contempt of Congress charge;  however, if I were a Democrat on the Committee facing a tight election this fall, I wouldn't want the NRA threatening me like they just did with everyone on the Committee, either.

Hell, I'd sacrifice Holder, too.  Fuck if I want the NRA on my ass in an election year.

Would you also avoid the convention like several democrats congressmen are?

Sounds like some (most?) Democrats plan to walk out in protest of today's vote.  Which is fine-- it'll make it look that much more lopsided :menace:

Depends.  I know some are (McCaskill), and some aren't (Rockefeller).

Personally, I would at least show up for the evening the President accepts the nomination, if just for appearances.  And the food.

Yes Issa is a moron.

Issa is a fucking genious.
He waited until the election year to make this flap on Barack Hussein Oblamo's face.

I'll say Congressman Issa is a fisherman. He knows when to give reel to the fish untill the fish is totally entangled, then he pulls in for the kill.

Eric Holder is done, and rightly so, that lying bastard.
There is a security officer dead and he wants to brush this under the rug?
Fuck no.

You haven't been an American very long.  Here's a clip of another one of Issa's schemes that failed and him crying about it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VW0v7wwfkQ
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

And quite frankly, for somebody that's been indicted for stealing a Maserati, sued for a hit and run, arrested for illegally carrying a handgun, firing an employee while brandishing another handgun in the office, and investigated for arson, Dan Issa is the last person to address issues of integrity.
The GOP wants to grandstand all high and mighty on Fast and Furiousgate, they should've found a better bully.

Yeah, Issa is the problem here, not the insanely stupid gun-walking operation or the AG that stepped on his own crank multiple times lying about it.

The Issue is that that the GOP is in denial that American guns are being smuggled across the border and going to cartels.  The Fast and Furious operation was attempt to demonstrate that.  Republicans fear that this large scale gun smuggling will result in restrictions on firearms.   That's what they are piss about.

No, the Fast and Furious operation was an attempt to seize weapons bought by identified straw purchasers, which they found out in Arizona they couldn't do, as Federal prosecutors determined that according to Arizona law, they were still legal purchases.  And then they went over the border to the cartels.

I was thinking about the wider issue.  The GOP sees any attempt to trace firearms from the US to the cartels as a threat.  Fox has attempted to disprove that firearms are moving from the US to Mexico.  Their article was factually incorrect, and I can find it for you if you like.  The basic argument in the article gets bandied about in GOP circles.  They got some traction because this operation was a fuck up.

No, the GOP sees any attempt to arrest straw purchasers in a state like Arizona where straw purchasing is allowed as a threat.

You two are hilarious.

We owe you.  It was you and Hans that leads us to sites were see what Republicans are saying to one another.  When you guys give us links to websites like FreeRepublic, NewsMax, Breitbart, and the like do you not expect us to read them?  When we look at threads and comments  on these websites should we discount them?  You brought us there.  So when I see nasty racist rants on Free Republic or death threats on Breitbart's comment pages take them seriously.  After all, Good solid Republicans like you and Hans wanted us to read from those sites.

Meh, I'm right and he's wrong, so it's not all that hilarious.

When did this Fast and Furious story break?  Fox was bitching that Obama was talking about guns moving from the US to Mexico back in April of 2009.
