The Brain

Women want me. Men want to be with me.

katmai

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

The Larch

Dinner with the family, lucky 12 grapes there and then a party at a friend's house. Lots of buddies, some good drinks and lots of fun to be had. Chocolate and churros for breakfast at the end of the night.

Rex Francorum

To rent

Scipio

Roast beef, smoked boston butt, and all the traditional stuff.
What I speak out of my mouth is the truth.  It burns like fire.
-Jose Canseco

There you go, giving a fuck when it ain't your turn to give a fuck.

-John Hurt

Martinus

It seems European Languishites are more likely to party tonight than the Yanks. Strange that.

People in this country get stupid on New Year's.  That's why we started hiding the patrol cars under overpasses and train bridges at around 11:20pm.

Syt

I have no inclination to go out into the streets that are filled with drunks and tourists come to spend their New Year's in Vienna (WTF, Italians?). At least, the loud firecrackers are banned from sale in 2013, and their use becomes forbidden in 2017. The last two weeks of the year usually sound like the 3rd Ukrainian Front is launching its attack again.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

If I feel up to it I'll go to a friends for dinner, then out to watch fireworks.  Then back to the friends to get raucously drunk.
Plans cancelled <_<

Maybe doing them tomorrow.  Minus the fireworks <_<
Let's bomb Russia!

I think I'll read some books sitting in the new "comfy chair" I bought earlier today

A bit like Syt, except that Parisians get as a "bonus" free public transport from today 17:00 to tomorrow 12:00 which means suburban scum on the prowl during the whole night.
So I stay home with familty for some port, champagne (REAL ONE) and cakes.

BuddhaRhubarb

Fallout New Vegas, beer, chips, etc.... I was invited to a couple of NYE parties but, meh.... not doing anything for me this year. Scalping some Power Gangers on the other hand...
:p

sbr

I think I am staying home and lying low this year.  I don't go out unless I am going somewhere I can stay the night and I'm not up for that this year.
