Looks like you got powdered sugar on your map.

"Goering!  How many times must I tell you?  Stop bringing your donuts into the war room!".

"What can I say, mein Fuhrer? Ich bin ein Berliner!"

Well-played, indeed.

Turn...errrrrrr......Its winter.

Operation The guy who names these things has been sent to a work camp is underway. Stalin demands the Vistula bulge be busted open, or he'll be very annoyed. Meanwhile, Budenny got a new sauna and hottub installed. Many peasant women will be facefucked in the name of the proletariat. Beria has put in an order of 500,000 dead poles.

This game is getting to be more like work. Not a good thing.

You ain't quitting, are you?  I want to see you roll into Berlin.  You're pretty close at this point.

I came close to, but decided to stick it out. The game is in a winter lull, with all of the Soviet Union liberated.

Edit: almost all.

I mean, it's Europe, right?  On a clear day I'm pretty sure Martinus can see Zanza and Syt from his office.  I like to imagine they make crude gestures indicating a gay foot fetish at him and Mart's employer is scandalized and says a Hail Mary to chase the bad spirits away.

End of the year update:

Soviet forces are mostly taking a two week break, with the blizzards giving my armor units a chance to fill up on go go juice. 3 Romanian Mountain divisions cut off and killed a German Sturm division earning them each 1 bag of Reese miniatures from Comrade Stalin. Sadly, all 3 bags were stolen en route. As soon as I feel the ammo is ready, i will launch a Winter offensive, as I have gotten my guards rifles up front and backed with arty brigades.

Also the Hungarian St. Lazlo division came out to play, and got stomped on by 3 Rifle corps. Fuck you Horthy.

The 30th Guards Rifle Corps penetrated Prussian territory, leading 4 more Baltic Front rifle corps and 2 tank brigades. Let the raping begin!

Have you cleared out the Baltics?  I don't think the Soviets actually managed that in '44.  I think they focused on South Eastern Europe at that time.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The AI ran off once I took Riga. It won't pull a Hitler and stand at all costs. Which might be a flaw in the game. No high command lunacy.

All it has left is a VG Division in a dinky port in Latvia, and I have a fortified zone and a division watching it.

Correct.  In fact the Kurland pocket held out until the end of the war.
