For a game with "auto" in it's title?
Autos are used everywhere, even in NYC. :contract:

Unlike Southern California though, you'd be very hard pressed to make a getaway via car in Manhattan. :contract:

FWIW, I also found Vice City to be a good city to play in, and I've never been there.

Odd because that one was all about urban sprawl.

Speaking of cars and your hometowns: have you played Driver: San Francisco, garbon?

No. In fact, I've never even heard of it!

It's surprisingly fun:

They never make games about Jefferson City. :(
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The last game that featured Vienna as more than a spec on a map was Cities in Motion. And there's an add on to those bus simulator games that lets you drive a (defunct) line in the transdanubian districts.

That's not my recollection, though I haven't played it in many years.

That preview has me excited, but I'll take a wild guess and say that they'll fuck up the GTA Online part. And even if they don't, the players will.

Yeah wasn't so excited about that part.

I think it looks gorgeous, but it came across a bit tired to be honest. I think they must have had some personnel changes in the marketing department.

Maybe GTA V has the same spark as previous games, but they did a worse job of selling it in this trailer and previous teaser images IMO. Maybe that's coming later in the campaign.

I think I will acually be in LA when this comes out.

I did wonder about the rather bored, disembodied narrator.
