I'm making the appointment to have the cat put down tomorrow.  He still seems fine but he is definitely in a lot of pain and I since there is no hope of hope of coming out the other side no reason to have him suffer anymore.

I an going to have the vet come to my house and do it so I don't have to take him in.  At least I will have a hot doctor in my house for a while.

That's awesome that you can do it that way, it's worth the extra cash.  I wanted to do that with Sneaks, but the night she crashed she crashed too hard, and I had to take her to the 24 hour clinic.  Always bothers me that her last hour was filled with the terror of the car ride and the vets.  I'm glad you can do it that way, at home, where he's comfortable and loved.  You're doing the right thing by him.

I think Gangsta would prefer going to go out with a catnip overdose.  Or possibly a police shootout.  I don't know, she hasn't told me.

Yes, that was my reasoning for when I had each of my two put to sleep, had it done in the garden in the sunshine and I buried them each close by.
