We would have the Lord's Prayer in the morning.

Signing was reserved for assemblies.  We'd start with Oh Canada, and end with God Save the Queen.

We didn't have any deaf students.

Grey Fox

Never prayed, never sang & cannot remember any assemblies in High School.

Did you at least have pep rallies for the football team?

I think 1 one of the girls was a virgin and that's why it failed.

High School in Quebec also is 2 years shorter than what American movies have lead me to believe. I was 16 on graduation day.

Yeah we graduate at 17 or 18 depending on what time of year we are born.

the norm is 17-18 y.o.  16 years, you must have skipped a year, maybe your sixth grade?
I turn 16 in Secondaire IV, this is when I got my driver's license.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Grey Fox

No skipping. Most of my friends were 16, some 17.

I thought social conservatism was essentially dead in this country but then this happens.  Saskatchewan wont allow strippers because of concerns about human trafficking and sexual exploitation - buts its ok for charitable events once a year.

QuoteLicensed strip clubs are no longer allowed in Saskatchewan but the government says it will make an exception for charitable events once per year.

Last month Premier Brad Wall announced that his government would reverse its decision to allow licensed strip clubs because of concerns about human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Wall has said he believes it was a mistake to change provincial liquor laws to allow partial stripping in bars.

The revised regulations will allow striptease entertainment at facilities such as theatres, casinos and exhibition halls with the use of a special permit once per year.

Don McMorris, minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, says the exception is being made because there are worthy fundraising events that include striptease entertainment.

Regulations around partial nudity are still in place that allow dancers to strip down to pasties and underwear.

The only value in those was perving on the cheerleaders.  :P

I am willing to lay a hefty wager the NDP will not win this election.

Ok if the NDP wins, the next time you are in town, you owe me a beer.  If they don't win, the next time you are in town, I will treat you and your wife to a restaurant you will not soon forget.

Done.

I should warn you, Mrs B and I have talked about taking off for a weekend in Vancouver one of these days...

But on the other hand, why won't you ever make it out to Edmonton? :contract:

I may be getting my beer.

QuoteWith 18 days to go until Albertans vote, the polls are painting a bleak landscape for a party that has been in power for more than 40 years. A poll released on Wednesday sampled 3,121 people and found the Wildrose Party and the NDP arm-locked in the lead, each with 24 per cent of the voters, while the PCs came in third at 18 per cent

High School cheerleader outfits just did not do it for me. But then I went to a weird High School where none of the cheerleaders were known (or lusted for) personally by me.
