Better be spent on drones.
Ukraine still uses artillery in its war against Russia.

We're going to need those when we deploy there in WW3 later this fall.

impressed with Poilievre's speech in NY today.

Honestly, it's becoming harder to tell him and Carney apart.

His message was the polar opposite of Carney's message. PP was talking about increasing the connections between the United States and Canada.

In what way did you think they were similar?

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

That is a pretty misleading headline, its as if the Editorial staff didn't know how to read that chart.  The Tri-Council funding agencies (the federal science funding agencies) are getting big increases in their budgets

Most of that increase in the Tri Council is super targeted, which threatens a lot of research in the humanities.

Parcs Canada is shuttering their research library to save a few thousands. Library and Archives is cutting on access to info, and its programs for local communities.

This isn't a good budget for the humanities.

The humanities funding agency is getting 80 million more.

I understand that if you were in charge of the Secretariat you would change relief ending priorities. And then some other researcher would be critical of your priorities.

Your broad statement that it is bad for the humanities in general is something that the recipients of that extra $80 million in humanity research would probably disagree with.
